Received her B.A. in modern literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.A. in international affairs, with a focus on socioeconomic development, from the New School in New York. Prior to joining Gisha in 2007, Tania worked on advocacy and fundraising initiatives for not-for-profit organizations promoting human rights and development. Tania is relied upon as a source of information and analysis on the situation in Gaza by diplomats, foreign offices and international organizations. She lectures regularly in the United States and Europe, and appeared before the Security Council in 2015.

Beth holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge. Before joining Gisha, Beth was a research fellow at a leading European think-tank, the Centre for European Reform, in London. Her writing focused on EU foreign policy in the Middle East, and she hosted the in-house podcast. She comments for print and broadcast media, including the BBC and Reuters. Beth has also worked as a senior researcher for the political historian Anthony Seldon, and as an advocate and caseworker at the Hackney Migrant Centre in London.

Rebecca holds a B.S. in Psychology and Linguistics from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her time as a student, she was involved in student government and local organizations. She interned at New Orleans Children’s Advocacy Center and taught at Temple Sinai New Orleans. Prior to joining Gisha, she worked as program coordinator for Encounter Programs.

Osnat received an LL.B from Hebrew University and an LL.M with honors from Tel Aviv University. She also holds a B.A. and an M.A. with with honors in the study of religion and art history from Hebrew University. During her studies, Osnat worked at the Office of the Anti-Human Trafficking Coordinator in the Ministry of Justice. She interned at the Reform Center for Religion and State and then worked at the Hotline for Refugees and Migrants. Most recently, Osnat oversaw the work of Kav LaOved (the Workers’ Hotline) in the realm of social rights and directed the Migrant Rights Clinic at the Ramat Gan College of Law and Business. She also taught classes and seminars on Israeli immigration law at the college.

Graduated law school at the College of Law and Business in Ramat Gan, as a recipient of a scholarship for human rights activity. Moria has volunteered at Machsom Watch, Mesilah, Hoshen, and Worker’s Hotline, and is a graduate of HIAS’s Refugee Law Fellows Program. Moria began working at Gisha in 2010 as an administrative assistant and returned to the organization after a two-year break as a lawyer.

Has worked as a journalist, TV personality, producer and director since 1996. Shadi spent six years producing and editing a range of Israeli educational television programs. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a reporter and researcher for several foreign TV networks, covering Palestinian society and the regional conflict. He also directed and produced several film presentations for institutions of higher education and other organizations.

Omnia holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Middle Eastern and African history from Tel Aviv University. Since graduating, she has completed practical training at a mental health center and worked as a therapeutic mentor for at-risk youth in Jaffa. Whilst at university, she participated in numerous student activities, volunteered in social projects targeting young people, and served as a personal tutor and student mentor.

A veteran of more than 20 years in the Israeli press, Amir has worked as both a writer and editor, including serving as editor-in-chief of Tel Aviv Magazine from the Yediot Tikshoret group, deputy editor of the weekly Ha’Ir (Schocken Group) and managing editor of supplements in Maariv. He also edited television programs and various feature segments, as well as books and scripts. In the last few years, Amir founded and edited the literary quarterly Masmerim.

Formerly a magazine reporter for HaIr and other magazines, Shai mainly reported on a variety of socio-economic and political issues, including the challenges faced by Jaffa’s Palestinian residents and by migrant workers and refugees. She holds an M.A. in political communication from Tel Aviv University, and a B.A. (summa cum laude) in journalism from Westminster University, London. She has also worked as a teaching assistant for political science courses at Tel Aviv University and IDC Herzliya. Her thesis focused on increasing the possibility for entry by protest groups’ into Israel’s public discourse.

Before joining Gisha, Noa was a founding member and spokesperson of the nonprofit organization “Israeli Children”, advocating for migrant children’s rights, against detention and deportation. Noa served as Parliamentary Assistant for M.K Dr.Tzvia Greenfeld, as Director of Campaigns for Geneva initiative and volunteered in youth initiatives and various initiatives aimed to assist foreign migrants and asylum seekers in Israel.

Recently, he worked for the City of Holon, starting as a manager for strategic planning and external relations, and afterwards as a manager for Internet projects and related information systems on behalf of Hachevra LeOtomatzia.

Born in Jaffa, where she lives to this day, Esther is an active member of her community, working to promote coexistence between Jewish and Arab residents, and to help children and families trapped in the cycle of poverty.
